Kansas City to perform sweep of illegal signs
|
The city of Kansas City, Mo. Public Works and Neighborhood and Community Services departments will perform "sign sweeps" on Tuesday, April 17. Throughout the day, city staff will perform a sweep of the city to remove illegal signs in the public right-of-way. All signs picked up by the city will be destroyed.
In working with city staff and elected officials, KCRAR has been assured that real estate signs are not the target of this "sign sweep" or the proposed enforcement ordinance. However, this is a good opportunity for members to confirm that their signs are in compliance and not located in the public right-of-way.

REALTOR® Rally to Protect the American Dream
|
Every May, NAR holds its Midyear Legislative Meetings & Trade Expo in Washington, D.C. Although thousands of REALTORS® attend the Midyear meetings, this year that's not enough. With the challenges facing real estate and home ownership, this year NAR is having the REALTOR® Rally to Protect the American Dream in Upper Senate Park at the U.S. Capitol.
This rally on Capitol Hill will show our elected officials that no one cares more about revitalizing the real estate market than REALTORS®.
The Missouri Association of REALTORS® is coordinating bus transportation for area REALTORS® interested in attending the rally. The bus will depart from MAR headquarters in Columbia on Wednesday, May 16 and will return on Friday, May 18. For more information, see this flier or email RealtorRally@morealtor.com.
