It's a good time to buy. In fact, according to a nationwide housing index, a home buyer's purchasing power has never been better.

Many of the Supra lockboxes in use in the Kansas City area are more than 8 years old. Although these lockboxes have great track records in maintaining battery power, the reality is they won't last forever. Batteries can only be replaced by the factory, so KCRAR plans to stay ahead of the curve and minimize disruption to our members' business by replacing all lockboxes before the battery power level starts to decline.
Go to the KCRAR Blog Roll here for more information about the next generation lockboxes and distribution plan.

Off-site CE classes in Lee's Summit
|
KCRAR is hosting two off-site CE classes on Wednesday, March 21 at the UCM Summit Center (850 NW Chipman Road, Door 54, Lee's Summit, MO 64063). Take advantage of a convenient location near where you live or work and earn 6 hours' worth of CE in a single day!
First up is Home Energy Audits & Retrofits from 9 a.m. to noon. Nothing is more relevant today than "green" homes, and the University of Central Missouri has created a program to help train the people who will be in the workforce conducting energy audits and handling green retrofitting for area homes. (Homes like your clients' and your own!)
Then, stick around for Behave Yourself! The Code of Ethics from 1-4 p.m. This satisfies the National Association of REALTORSŪ requirement to take an ethics class every four years, with the current cycle ending December 31, 2012. For more information or to register, go here. Click here for directions to the UCM Summit Center.

Code of Ethics Training required by Dec. 31
|
All KCRAR members must complete and report Code of Ethics training by December 31, 2012. This is a mandate from The National Association of REALTORSŪ every four years that you are a REALTORŪ, and the current four-year cycle runs 1/1/2009 to 12/31/2012.
Do not confuse this with a mandatory class for license renewal, i.e. your core class. Ethics is not required for licensure, but only for belonging to the REALTORŪ Association.
There are several ways to fulfill this requirement. For complete information on ways to take and report the training, go here.

Updates on eKey Applications
|
Supra has released an upgrade to the eKEY application for the Android operating system. Android users should receive a notice directly on their phone telling them that a new version is available. They simply need to visit the Android market and download the new version.
The update includes several improvements, including fixing a problem where the inventory screen might freeze.
Supra is actively working on issues associated with some BlackBerry OS 7 and 7.1 devices. They appreciate your continued patience while they work though these changes and will keep you updated regarding their progress.
