Congress Restores FHA Loan Limits; Extends NFIP through Dec. 16
|
In a Nov. 17 vote, Congress restored the loan limits for the Federal Housing Administration (FHA) for two years. As you know, in late September the FHA, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac loan limits were reduced in 42 states, pricing potential homebuyers out of the American Dream of homeownership and holding back the housing recovery. NAR immediately went to work with the goal to get the loan limits restored in Congress. For weeks that goal seemed unlikely. You, and countless other REALTORS® like you worked to educate Congress that well-qualified buyers didn't need yet another hurdle to access affordable mortgage financing. The bill also provides for a short-term extension of the National Flood Insurance Program through Dec. 16, 2011.

The Scoop on Missouri License Renewal
|
You probably received a reminder postcard from the Missouri Real Estate Commission about your upcoming license renewal. If you did not receive a card it means you have already completed your CE credit and your fingerprinting is on record, too.
The card failed to mention your actual renewal date. For Brokers, your renewal date is June 30, 2012; for Salespersons, it is September 30, 2012. Some people mistakenly thought their hours must be completed before 2012 and KCRAR was swamped with requests for courses. True, we want you to be early in obtaining your classes, but you still have plenty of time, so don't panic!
Note! 2012 Missouri renewals will be done ONLINE. Go here for some vital information about your renewal.
