There are only a couple days left to celebrate the salesperson, manager or affiliate who exemplifies excellence in your eyes. Nominations for KCRAR's annual "Of the Year" Awards are due this Thursday, September 15. These awards give us the opportunity to honor the best-of-the-best among KCRAR's membership. If you know someone who deserves to be recognized, nominate them as a candidate in one of the following categories: REALTORŪ of the Year, REALTORŪ Sales Manager of the Year, REALTORŪ Salesperson of the Year, Newcomer of the Year, Affiliate of the Year and Community Service Award. Self-nominations are also encouraged. Money in KCKS - Free Friday Focus Workshop

Kansas City, Kansas has some good financing available! Make sure you know the scoop. Join us for "Money in KCKS," the next Free Friday Focus Workshop on Friday, October 14 from 10-11:30 a.m. in the KCRAR classroom. CHIP (The Community Housing Investment Program) is the Unified Government's down payment assistance program. Come learn about income requirements, minimum borrower investment, the program target area and details about loan forgiveness. You'll also learn updates to the Kansas City, KS Neighborhood Stabilization down payment assistance program. Speakers will include CHIP Certified lenders from the Mortgage Lender Consortium and/or the Unified Government. Register here.

Open House: it ain't over til it's over

Don't assume that everyone has left the premises at the end of an open house. Check all of the rooms and the backyard prior to locking the doors. Be prepared to defend yourself, if necessary.

The popular show is coming to Joplin next month to build seven houses for seven worthy families.General volunteers and construction trades of all kinds are needed to help rebuild and revive this community!
The project begins October 19. They are looking for upwards of 2,000 volunteers, so this is a great way to help in many different ways - from handing out food and water for workers to actually hammering nails.
