A true story of inspiration and survival
|
 | |
Randy Waldorf
|
A local Kansas City man was stranded on an overturned boat in the Gulf of Mexico and not rescued until long into the next day. He'll share his inspirational story of preparation, perseverance, adaptability, and patience... lessons we all need in the current real estate market. Come hear KCRAR member Randy Waldorf, President of Secured Title, tell his true story of survival at our next Free Friday Focus Workshop. This isn't some trite "speaker from afar telling you to stay positive" - this guy is the real deal. Join us for "Lost at Sea - Literally" from 10-11:30 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 5. Go here to register. (This is not a CE class; it's a "Get Smart" class.)

Tell Congress to Reauthorize the National Flood Insurance Program
|
The House of Representatives has passed a 5-year reauthorization of the National Flood Insurance Program, but the Senate has not yet acted. We still have a ways to go before we are finished on this issue, so please continue to encourage fellow REALTORS® to take action if they have not yet done so.
Over 20,000 communities nationwide depend on this program to in order to buy and sell real estate. You simply cannot acquire a mortgage without flood coverage and a policy cannot be issued without the assistance of this program. Maintaining available and affordable flood insurance for all Americans that need it is vital to keeping the market running smoothly. Please take action today.

Tell Your Clients: Take Action on the Qualified Residential Mortgage!
|
Last week, the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) launched its first consumer Call for Action to 6 million current or future home owners asking them to support our opposition to a proposed federal regulation that would require a 20% down payment on a purchase of a home.
Consumers (your clients) can visit HomeOwnerActionCenter.com to get important background on the regulation, use a calculator to determine how much money they would need for a 20% down payment on a loan, learn about our efforts with the Coalition for Sensible Housing Policy, and send a letter of their own in opposition to the proposed regulation. We have also included an e-card that can help you share the consumer Call for Action with your clients, friends, neighbors and other interested parties.
