Has Housing Reached a 'Recovery Path'? |
 Sales of existing homes rose slightly in March, marking the sixth consecutive monthly rise for existing home sales in the last eight months, the National Association of REALTORSŪ reported last week.
"We're clearly on a recovery path," says Lawrence Yun, NAR chief economist. Existing home sales rose 3.7 percent in March from February, as distressed sales, such as those in foreclosure, continued to make up a big bulk of home sales (40 percent of all purchases).

KCRAR members have noticed a recent explosion in spam email that solicits experienced real estate assistance for buyers or sellers from foreign countries. These emails sometimes claim that email addresses have been obtained from REALTORŪ Association websites or otherwise mention the Association in the subject and body of the message.
Although this type of thing has been around for a while, we want to reiterate that KCRAR has a policy prohibiting the distribution of member email addresses. The best way to handle these questionable solicitations is to simply delete the email without responding to it. |

 Join us at the Association's first RPAC Auction of the year hosted by the Rivers Region! The theme is "Party With a Purpose" and the cost is $20, which includes a drink ticket and lunch.
Lunch and the silent auction starts at noon, followed by the live auction at 1 p.m. with celebrity auctioneer Tanna Guthrie, radio personality with 99.7 "The Point." In addition to being a great auctioneer, Tanna is also a REALTORŪ with Prudential Kansas City Properties and lots of fun!
