Have a Missouri license?
The real estate commission requires your fingerprints before your next renewal. This is NOT a requirement just for new licensees. So even if you've been licensed for years, you'll need to get your prints on file before your next renewal.
For how-to's and details, see MREC's New Fingerprinting Q & A's. Don't delay - get yours done pronto! |

Fair Housing Study - Your Input is Needed |
As you may have heard by now, the governments in the Kansas City region are currently conducting a study to identify barriers to housing choice, including discriminatory activities, in the metropolitan area. The study will investigate many different types of impediments to housing choice, such as lack of affordable housing, zoning impediments, etc., and develop a plan for the region to address the identified barriers.
In order for this study to be successful, they need input from those involved in any aspect of the housing industry. BBC Research and Consulting, the firm contracted with to conduct the study, will hold four community meetings on Thursday, March 10 at four sites in the area (see this flier for details). You are invited to attend any one of these meetings. If you're unable to attend a meeting, you can still fill out the survey here and return it to Heidi Aggeler, Managing Director, BBC Research and Consulting, at aggeler@bbcresearch.com.
If you have any questions involving the meetings or the study, contact Mickey Dean of the city's Human Relations Department at 816-513-1836 or Mickey.Dean@kcmo.org. |
GSE Reform: The Issues that Will Impact Your Business |
REALTOR® Magazine hosts sessions throughout the year to help you succeed in real estate. Coming up next....
The Obama administration and Congress are looking at proposals to reform the secondary mortgage market. What they decide to do could impact the availability and affordability of mortgage financing for your clients. If they get it right, 30-year, fixed-rate financing at affordable prices will remain widely available and safety measures will be in place to prevent lenders from making risky exotic loans to borrowers who are unprepared to handle them. If they get it wrong, affordable financing for middle-class households will become hard to get, shrinking your pool of clients.
This free webinar is scheduled for 2 p.m. CST on March 31. Go here for registration info and more about recorded webinars available now. |
