Congratulations to Cherise Sedlock!

Cherise Sedlock

Cherise Sedlock

Cherise Sedlock, Sedlock Commercial Real Estate, is the latest recipient of the Bob Bollier Sales & Marketing Award from the Home Builders Association of Greater Kansas City. The award was created in 2000 to recognize outstanding HBA members who donate their passion, energy and commitment to both the housing industry and the community. The award is named for the late Bob Bollier and is presented each year to a HBA Sales and Marketing Council member who shares Bollier's spirit, integrity and humility both personally and professionally.

Cherise joined Pat Sedlock Commercial Real Estate in 1982. Her clients include developers, trust departments, churches and institutional users, as well as families with commercial real estate needs. In 2007, she closed a $22 million commercial land transaction in the Village West Tourism District, which she had assembled and negotiated on behalf of 14 families.

"As a commercial broker, I was skeptical about joining the HBA when first invited. What I found was an extraordinary group of bold thinkers who shelter our families, create jobs and drive our economy," Cherise said. "With their commitment to the home building industry, property rights and economic development, I am thrilled and humbled to be recognized by them."

Congratulations to Cherise for receiving this honor!

Your CE attendance is online

As we first announced last month, now the information about your CE record is at your fingertips!

Every continuing education class you attend, regardless of the school location or CE course, is now shown on the websites of both real estate commissions. From now on, when you want to know what courses you've taken, you can go to the source and get the straight scoop for yourself. (But you should still save your course completion certificates.) You can review it anytime 24/7.

To view your records, simply go to the appropriate state website. For Kansas, go here and click on "Check CEU Hours." For Missouri, go here, click on "MREC Licensee Search" to find yourself, then click on "Detail."

It might take a week or two before a course shows up. If Missouri still shows no courses for you, but you know you attended, it's possible you didn't mark the appropriate box on your 2010 license renewal form. You'll need to send MREC a fax with all your information and give them permission to post it.
