Dan Sight, CCIM
On Monday, Nov. 1, Dan Sight, CCIM, vice president/broker of Reece Commercial in Kansas City and 2011 Chair of the Commercial Committee for NAR, testified before a Senate Committee hearing on "Small Business Access to Capital: Challenges Presented by Commercial Real Estate." His message: helping the commercial real estate sector is critical to improving the small-business economy.

In his testimony, Mr. Sight stressed the importance of having a healthy commercial real estate sector in addition to a sound small business sector as the cornerstorne of our nation's economic growth and recovery.
"Significant drops in lending to small businesses continue to adversely affect our nation's economic recovery," Sight told the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship. "While our nation's economic recovery is facing uncertain times, it is clear that the problems plaguing commercial real estate lending must first be addressed in order to fix access to capital within the small business sector, which will strengthen our nation's economy."
