Greetings!

February is upon us with an ice storm of the year and popular movement arising in Egypt! Although many would like to bundle down with a hot cup of tea by the fire, we have planned art shows, film screenings, and workshops in love of a sustainable future and community. Come out, come out with a date or friend to learn, share, and be a part of a growing movement of seeking solutions and innovative ideas for through our future together!

Warmest regards,
Kim Walsh ~ Executive Director

Tom Wisner
Tom Wisner, Bard of the Chesapeake!

Appealing to the eye as well as the ear and on display at the Calvert Marine Museum "The Art of Healing the Chesapeake: A Tribute to Tom Wisner" will offer a glimpse into Tom's artistic vision. Rediscovering "homeland" every time he put pen to paper, paint to canvas, hand to guitar string, foot to shifting sand or mind to verse, these personal connections were a constant reminder of his unique journey. They are especially evident in the artwork by "The Children," and in Tom's portraits of "The Elemental People," more seasoned souls who lived intimately with the land and waters, and became his wise elders along the way. The exhibit will be open to the public from now until the end of February. To learn more about Chestory's archives and the children's song book project,  contact Joan Clement at [email protected] or go here!
