"How to use Asian Antiques" will be the discussion on Saturday, April 18th, when expert Chinese furniture collector and author Kimberly Hessler visits Silk Road Collection. Learn about antique Chinese furniture, hear furniture stories, and meet Kim during her book signing.
Kim provides professional consultation for homes and places of business. Her book, "Chinese Provincial Furniture, Selections from the Late Qing Dynasty", published by Schiffer Press, was released in 2007.
Daniel Gomez: Instructor
Participate in a basic Tai Chi session at Silk Road Collection on Saturday, April 18th, learning the main Tai Chi objectives of centering, breath control, balance and self defense. Tai Chi is a total mind, body and sprit health art, that has no age limits.
Daniel Gomez is a master of the Yang style of Tai Chi and has been a Martial artist for 33 years, studying Okinawa karate-do and Chinese Tai Chi. Daniel has been a local instructor of Tai Chi for the past 10 years. |
Travel to China, October 2009
You are invited to join us on our October 2009 group Buying and Sightseeing trip to China. Current plans are to visit, Beijing, Shanghai, Wuxi, Xian, and cities along the ancient Silk Road.
Wonders to be visited include the Forbidden City, Great Wall, Tiananmen Square, the Summer Palace, Temple of Heaven, Chinese Opera, the Bund, the terra cotta buried soldiers and much more.
Shopping includes antique furniture, silks, pearls, and hundreds of vendor stalls.
