Georgia politics has been very active this past week with the impending resignation of Georgia House Speaker Glenn Richardson.  Corruption needs to be stopped at any level in politics and it is now time for all Georgians to stand up and start to clean up our state government.  As Republicans, it is hard to admit that there is corruption in our own party, but there is and it is up to us to stand up and clean House.  If we allow the other Republicans who are just like the current leadership to take the place of those leaving, we will have changed nothing.  Eventually we will receive what we deserve, and that would be a Georgia version of Nancy Pelosi.  We went through something very similar to this about ten short years ago with Speaker Newt Gingrich.  We did not clean up the leadership mess on the national level, and we reaped what we have sown.  We need to stand up now and change the leadership of the State House.

  

What can we do?  For one, contact your State Representative in the next week before they vote for a new Speaker and possibly a new Pro Tem and let them know you want them to vote for an honest and conservative leader.  There have been several names that have been mentioned as possible candidates to be our next Speaker, but many of those names would just bring us more of the same type of leadership.  If We the People allow more of the same to run Georgia, expect the same results. 

 

Do we have another choice?  Yes we do!  There are some good honest conservatives down in the State House that would be good as Speaker of the House.  One name that keeps getting mentioned as a viable candidate is Bartow County's own Representative Barry Loudermilk.  He is a man of integrity and actually believes in the Constitution.  He is a man that we as Georgians would be proud to call our Speaker.  Please urge your Representative to vote for Representative Loudermilk or another true conservative.
