General Assembly  The Georgia General Assembly will be in session in just a couple of weeks. The biggest piece of legislation that will receive the most attention is Speaker Glenn Richardson's "Great Plan." Presidential Election  The Presidential Election will definitely be the highlight of 2008. Both Republicans and Democrats will be picking their candidates over the next few months and officially announce their candidates at the national conventions. For Georgia, we will have our Presidential Preference Primary on Tuesday, February 5, 2008. If you are not registered to vote yet, you must do so by Monday, January 7, 2008. There are a wide variety of candidates with a tremendous variance in beliefs. If you are unsure of who to vote for, you may visit the BartowGOP Candidates site and research each candidate's web site on your own. This is a very important presidential election that will determine the course we take with the War on Terroism, Illegal Immigration, Health Care, Taxes, Gun Rights and many other issues. |
