Counterfeit Needles Dangerous, Defective
The imposter needle cartridge pictured above is being marketed for use as a cheap alternative to Patented Needle Cartridges. One professional reports that he ordered the needles, wanting to save money, and the packaging was not sealed. Autoclaving, as seen above, melts parts of the plastic needle cartridges, causing distortion and destruction. Your client is in danger of contracting blood borne pathogens and/or other contaminants from these fake cartridges. Also, a shard of plastic was reported during use of a cartridge near the eye and the supplier was urged to warn the counterfeiters of the flaw. The importation or use of such cartridges in the United States is illegal due to patent protection by the manufacturer. Your insurance policy is void when you knowingly use these cartridges or any illegal products. All members of the Academy are hereby warned against the use of such counterfeit needle cartridges. Insist on the genuine cartridges are marketed by Nouveau Contour USA. Protect yourself and your clients. Questions or Concerns? Click here

MT Derm pioneered and patented the "hygienic" cartridge (pictured above). These single use needles are accepted by Health Departments across the United States. EO Gas sterilized and securely sealed, each needle contains the Item Number, Lot Number, Expiration Date, and Single Use designation on the package. The circle with the number "2" inside and an oblique line through it means don't use twice or "single use" only. Importantly, these cartridges are not intended to be autoclaved. GENUINE needles are packaged as illustrated in the photo below:
