Message from the President- 2012 Golden Gala was Golden
|
Our Golden Gala this past Saturday was certainly golden. We had record breaking attendance of over 430 people and 11 golden retrievers. I just want to thank everyone who came and supported us - particularly our Presenting Sponsors: Cox Media Group and Manheim. Also, a big thanks to Justin and Allison Farmer for being our Event Chairs. Special thanks to Juliann Kaiser and her team of volunteers who worked on this Gala for months.

Six goldens who got second chances in life last year are featured in our Gala Dog Video which you can also watch by going to our website's home page. Please mark February 23, 2013 on your calendar for a even bigger and better Golden Gala.

Goldenrama to Change Sites
|
The location where we have had Goldenrama for the last several years is no longer available for events. This means we have to find a new location for our fall outing. We do have a deposit on a farm in Milton but before we sign a contract, we thought we would ask if any of you have suggestions of a location that could host this event of about 500 people, 350 dogs and parking for 300+ cars. We have already looked into all public parks.
Please contact info@adoptagoldenatlanta.com as soon as possible.

| March Orphan of the Month |
Meet Ginger, our March Orphan of the Month! She's a beautiful 6 year old golden who is looking for a calm and
peaceful home to call her own. She has perfect house manners and loves playing in the yard with her favorite tennis ball! She gets along well with other dogs and is ok with cats, too. Ginger would prefer a fenced in yard to run in. She can't wait to keep her new family company.
Come meet Ginger and our other orphans at our next Adoption Day this Sunday!

Jackson, Formally Jack Frost, Checking In
|
Hello everyone!
I have been very busy since my dad adopted me a little over a year ago. First, he took me to school to help me learn my manners; I am doing very well but still learning.
Second, I helped three AGA orphans find their forever homes. I missed them when they left our home, but was very happy they now have their forever homes like I do.
Third, I am now an official National Park Volunteer, the first official dog volunteer in the National Park! My job is to get pets and hugs from the kids who visit the park, it's my favorite part of the job. I also ensure the humans who bring dogs to the park keep them on their leashes and pick up after them. I even carry extra bags in my vest in case the humans don't bring their own.
Look at me wearing my official vest; don't you think I am a handsome boy?
Woof & Love,
Jackson
