Spring brings outside play. Your dog can get loose and lost.  Please register your dog's microchip and if you have done that, please make sure your contact information is up to date.  It will make all the difference in the world to you and your dog.

Also, please consider getting pet insurance.  There are many plans out there and in the next few weeks we will publish a comparison of the leading plans.  For a few bucks a month, you can get catastrophic coverage that will cover major surgeries and illnesses.  You never want to be in a position where you can't afford to give your best friend the care he needs to save his life.

Remember we are here for you.  If you have a sick dog and he is not getting better, please act quickly and contact us.  We can help!

Meet Wilbur, our March Orphan of the Month!  Wilbur is an adorable five year old golden retriever mix.  He's a cute little guy with lots of bubbly energy to share with his future family!  He absolutely adores belly rubs, loves leash walks and is always up to learn a new trick that will earn him treats.   

While Wilbur is not recommended for homes with very small children or cats, he gets along with other dogs just fine.  Come see Wilbur and our other Adopt A Golden orphans this Sunday at our Adoption Day.

Meet Wilbur, Our AGA March Orphan of the Month

Get ready to march!  We are happy to announce that AGA will be a participant in the Atlanta St. Patrick's Day Parade on Saturday, March 12!    

The parade starts at noon, and the parade route is 1.1 miles down Peachtree Street.  If you and your golden retriever are interested in being part of our group, please contact Juliann.  We'll wear an AGA logo shirt and we'll have AGA scarves for the dogs - won't we look great marching down Peachtree Street? 

Thanks to everybody who attended this year's Golden Gala - it was our biggest ever with 350 people having a blast!  It was also our largest silent auction ever.  A good time was had by all!

1. Comprehensive financial plan by a Morgan Stanley Smith Barney financial consultant (3 hrs private consultation  + market analyst lunch/dinner for 2) - Value $700.  Minimum bid - $50
2. Two organizational & study skill one-hour sessions for grade 3 through adult from Natalie Collins with The Behavioral Institute of Atlanta  -- Value $160.  Minimum bid - $25
3. Gentle Touch Home Vet Care - initial housecall fee - value $50.  Minimum bid - $15.
4. Canine Nutritional Analysis - half hour visit on your dog's current diet and how to improve it - Dr. Susan Wynn at Georgia Veterinary Specialists (GVS) - value $124.  Minimum bid - $40.
5. Pet's Playhouse on Ponce - seven days of boarding - value $231.  Minimum bid - $40.
6. Pink stereo head set - value $40.  Minimum bid - $10.

The store is open only to those with tickets during those hours for special savings - 20 to 70% off almost everything in the store, including rarely discounted brands.  Tickets are $5.
