povertyCan you ignore the face of poverty?

United Way's new advertising campaign kicked off this month and it addresses a growing community problem--poverty exists in our region and it's no longer an option to ignore it.

580,000 people in the metro area are living in or at the edge of poverty (an annual income of $44,100 for a family of four)--32 percent are children.
