Stopping the Cycle of Domestic Violence
|
United Way is committed to reducing domestic violence by increasing access to services by 20 percent through our Agenda for Lasting Change.
We're proud to sponsor the upcoming conference, Bridging Perspectives: Intervening with Men Who Batter, from May 12-15. This conference aims to break the progression of violence and prevent future abuse through innovative strategies and resources for those who work with men who batter.
You Can Help: Become an Advocate
Help United Way partner Sojourner Project stand up against domestic violence by becoming an Intervention Volunteer Advocate. Advocates provide phone support to victims following a domestic assault. You can work from home and know that you're helping create change. Sign up now! |
New Investments Give Low-Income Families a Boost
United Way is making new investments in two of the most important gateways out of poverty for low-income families in our community: ensuring early reading success and providing access to healthcare.
