Iowa regulators OK purchase of company operating Kansas Star The Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission approved Boyd Gaming Corp.'s proposed acquisition of Peninsula in a unanimous vote, according to online report by the Telegraph Herald in Dubuque, Iowa, where Peninsula is based.
Indians look to Internet The association, which represents 184 of the tribes, gathered this week at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood to talk about gambling issues and what the future holds. And their biggest concern right now is making sure tribes don't get left behind if federal and state governments approve online gambling.

Bans on Smoking in Bars May Reduce Alcohol Abuse, Study Suggests Laws that ban smoking in bars and restaurants may reduce alcohol abuse, a new study suggests. Researchers found people identified as problem drinkers who live in states with smoking bans have a higher rate of remission, compared with problem drinkers who live in states without laws that ban public smoking.
Report: Vital Signs: Drinking and Driving Among High School Students Aged ≥16 Years - United States, 1991-2011 Most teen drivers with positive (>0.00%) blood alcohol concentrations (BACs) who are involved in fatal crashes have BACs ≥0.08%, the level designated as illegal for adult drivers. CDC analyzed data from the 1991-2011 national Youth Risk Behavior Surveys (YRBS) to describe the trend in prevalence of drinking and driving (defined as driving one or more times when they had been drinking alcohol during the 30 days before the survey) among U.S. high school students aged ≥16 years. This report summarizes that analysis.

It is answered 24 hours a day 7 days a week by recovering addicts. Our number has now been active for 1 month. You can obtain meeting information, information on Narcotics Anonymous, and other information about NA in the Iowa Region which includes meetings in the state of Iowa and part of Illinois.
