FY2013 Surface Transportation Environment & Planning Cooperative Research Program (STEP) Implementation Strategy
FHWA is seeking input from all their partners on the FY 2013 STEP Implementation Strategy. Feedback is requested on or before September 28, 2012.
Links to the Federal Register Notice (Volume 77, Number 125) on the proposed FY 2013 STEP Implementation Strategy are provided. Text version (link) and PDF version (link).
FHWA will use STEP to fund research, field demonstrations, technology transfer, conferences, and workshops, as well as portions of various pooled fund research efforts. Grants and cooperative agreements will continue to require a 50% match; however research contracts will not require a match. FHWA Office of Planning, Environment, and Realty has developed STEP research emphasis areas and identified contacts for each area by clicking HERE. STEP contacts will continue to work with their partners to identify priority research projects for FY 2013. State and Federal agencies along with local partners can review the proposed FY 2013 STEP Implementation Strategy by clicking HERE and submit research topics via the STEP website under the "feedback" tab.
Again, feedback is requested on or before September 28, 2012.
