PA Cares for All Campaign

General Assistance is a program of last resort for over 67,000 Pennsylvanians. It was eliminated in Governor Corbett's proposed budget. GA gives cash assistance to disabled adults, domestic violence survivors, caregivers for sick or disabled persons, people in treatment or children living with an unrelated adult. LAMPa is working with a coalition to draw attention to the impact and implications of this cut. Go to the PA Cares for All website to learn more and take action.

Justice as a Memorial is a recent article in the Journal of Lutheran Ethics. It notes that when  Christians render justice to the vulnerable of society and the outcasts, and perform acts of healing, it keeps alive and honors the memory of Jesus and his acts of justice and healing that signaled the breaking in of the messianic age in his person.
