Child Abuse Prevention. 

A new website Look Out for Child Abuse, is  a repository of information about identifying child abuse and neglect with information about and forms for mandated reporters.

 

Federal Budget. 

The ELCA Washington Office is conducting an e-mail advocacy campaign called "Why the Federal Budget Matters" to educate and inspire people to engage in the federal budget debate. The June focus was immigration. The July focus is water issues, and will feature a post from LAMPa related to natural gas drilling. Sign up here.

 

Energy and Natural Gas Drilling

StateImpact Pennsylvania, a new website collaboration of NPR and PA affiliates, covers the fiscal and environmental impact of Pennsylvania's booming energy economy, with a focus on Marcellus Shale drilling. It is a new go-to place for the latest in regulation, legislation and the ongoing conversation. Stay tuned for the recommendations of the Governor's Marcellus Shale Commission, due July 22.
