INTERPRETER SPOTLIGHT:
| Monika Sokol
|
Monika Sokol is a nationally certified Polish interpreter who has been with Metaphrasis since it opened. It was through Metaphrasis that Monika learned about national certification:
"I sought this certification, because I wanted to challenge myself. Passing the exam confirmed that I'm a good interpreter and boosted my confidence in my skills."
We're lucky to have you on our team, Monika! Thanks for all of your hard work.

Message from Elizabeth Colón,
President of Metaphrasis
|
| Elizabeth Colón |
We're only one month into 2011, and already we're having a great year!
Hellos: Metaphrasis is proud to announce new partnerships with the American Cancer Society as well as the American Diabetes Association. Read below to find out how these new connections benefit you.
Goodbyes: It's time to bid adieu to a wonderful employee, Nancy Palma. Nancy served as the Executive Assistant at Metaphrasis from the very beginning and was an essential part of our team as we grew and thrived over the past three years. She knew the interpreters' schedules inside and out and knew exactly what to do to keep all service provider needs met. We wish her luck as she pursues her nursing degree! We'll miss you, Nancy!

| Event Wrap Up: Bruce L. Adelson, 1/26
| The January 26th presentation by Federal Compliance Expert Bruce L. Adelson was a great success. Bruce spoke about effective health care communications and compliance with Title VI and the ADA.
| Bruce Adelson addresses the crowd |
Feedback was overwhelmingly positive. One attendee said: "I learned so much today." Another shared this: "Bruce was great; I could have listened to him all day!"
Don't fret if you weren't one of the 100+ attendees: this is only the first of many timely and information-packed events Metaphrasis will offer in 2011.
| Meg Adorno, Bruce Adelson & Elizabeth Colón | Big thanks to Meg Adorno and Advocate Christ Medical Center for hosting this event!
