On November 18, 2010, the U.S. Embassy in New Delhi announced that in an effort to make the visa application process more convenient for all Indians, the U.S. Embassy in New Delhi and Consulates General in Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata and Hyderabad will now accept visa applications from across India at all visa facilities, regardless of the applicant's home address or city of residence. This is part of Mission India's ongoing effort to facilitate legitimate travel to the United States. |

NAFTA processing at Blaine, Washington |
James L. Rector, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Assistant Port Director (APD at Blaine, Washington, has advised that CBP has established a NAFTA adjudications trial program, staffing the Pacific Highway Port of Entry (POE) with NAFTA subject matter experts every Tuesday and Thursday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm for 90 days (through February 25, 2010).
NAFTA processing along the Northern border most commonly applies to processing TN-1 applications and L-1 petitions for Canadian citizens entering the U.S. for temporary employment.
This service will be available for clients during the trial period. NAFTA applications will continue to be processed as they have in the past. This trial program does not preclude a NAFTA applicant from applying for admission at another Port of Entry or outside of the hours mentioned above.
