The U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Service (USCIS) has reported that as of September 24, 2010, approximately 39,600 H-1B cap-subject petitions were receipted, leaving approximately 25,400 H-1B visa numbers available for FY2011, which begins on October 1, 2010.
Additionally, USCIS has receipted 14,400 H-1B petitions for aliens with advanced degrees against the additional quota of 20,000 for those who have earned an advanced degree from a U.S. educational institution. |
