Texas State Sr Games Finalists
These TT winners - singles, doubles and mixed doubles - now are qualified to advance to the national Senior Games competition next year in Cleveland OH.
More than 100 senior table tennis athletes - locally and state-wide, along with several spectators and volunteers - visited "our house" last weekend. Many photos were taken and we plan to post several on our website soon.
We are extremely grateful for all who came and participated and helped to make this weekend a great success. THANKS!
I struggled with how to capture the spirit and activities of the weekend in the limited space of this newsletter - i.e., with just a photo or two. I settled on the following: 1) Joe Cummings, our talented tournament director who kept the action going in a positive manner, and 2) Andy Jimenez and Gerald Ramirez who generously shared their skills and equipment to provide great BBQ burgers and hot dogs both days. By no means are they the only ones who contributed but I believe they epitomize what all of the rest of us provided each other and our guests.
