Pierre Boulogne Returns to Nashville Singers!
After a 13 month hiatus, Nashville Singers is pleased to announce and welcome back one of our original bass singers, and all-around great guy, Pierre Boulogne!
His first meeting back will be this Thursday, June 14.
Pierre remarked to the other members of the chorus...
"I've missed your fellowship and what we've done together as ministers of music. I'm very excited about coming back!"
Pierre Boulogne got serious about singing in 1980 when he joined his high school chorus and drama teams doing choreographed numbers and musicals; earning him mention in the 1981 Who's Who Among American High School Students. As a vocal major at Reinhardt College, he sang with the Reinhardt Chorus and the Daybreak ensemble, which appeared in competitions and on television. He also earned a spot with the 1982 Georgia All-College Chorus. His love of singing has continued through the years mostly in church groups, and as a soloist as he moved from Georgia to Hawaii to Alaska to Tennessee. After settling in the Nashville area in 1999, Pierre began to look for more opportunities to sing. He was a member of the Music City Community Chorus in 2008. After college, Pierre served in the U.S. Air Force at Hickam AFB in Hawaii, where he met and married his wife Diane in 1987. Besides his total of 8 years in military service, he has worked in banking, shipping, accounting, higher education, and retail. He currently lives in Lebanon, TN with Diane and their two children Renae and Devin. |

Check Out Our New Risers!

We've been "getting by" for a few years with some homemade wood riser platforms secured by Harlan Wilson, but have been on the lookout for choral risers. Men of Harmony Chorus member Tim Hargrove saw these Wenger choral risers for sale for an unbelievable price and contacted Nashville Singers member Bryan Patrick. We quickly pounced on the opportunity and are thrilled. These give us plenty of room to grow. Thank you Tim!

This Day in Music
June 11, 1960 - Drummer Tommy Moore made the fateful decision to quit The Beatles and return to his job of driving a forklift at Garston bottle works. He was briefly replaced by Norman Chapman, who was called into National Service after just three gigs. After going drummerless and mostly jobless for a few weeks, the band hired Pete Best on August 12th, only one day before they were to go to Hamburg to play a string of club dates.
