Nashville Singers, Inc. is a 501(C)3 non-profit corporation and performing arts organization founded in 2008.
The members range in age from teenagers to retirees and reside in Brentwood, Hermitage, LaVergne, Lebanon, Nashville, Joelton, and Smyrna.
The group meets at Whitworth Memorial Baptist Church the first three Thursday evenings of each month from 7-10pm. Membership in Nashville Singers is open to all men who demonstrate the ability, desire, and a commitment to excellence in vocal and choral performance.

Nashville Singers Concerts Continue to Draw Attendees from Far & Wide

Last year's inaugural concert attracted attendees from 36 cities in eight states. This year, we already know of a half dozen people driving in from Chicago, and a few coming in from Atlanta to attend our 2011 Season of Harmony concert event on November 19.
This hotel is 1.25 miles from the venue and currently has rooms for less than $72 per night.

Musical Terms of the Week
- Tune - A rhythmic succession of musical tones, a melody for instruments and voices.
- Twelve-tone music - Music composed such that each note is used the same number of times.
- Verismo - A form of Italian opera beginning at the end of the 19th century. The setting is contemporary to the composer's own time, and the characters are modeled after every day life.
- Virtuoso - A person with notable technical skill in the performance of music.
- Vivace - Direction to performer to play a composition in a brisk, lively, and spirited manner.
- Voice - One of two or more parts in polyphonic music. Voice refers to instrumental parts as well as the singing voice.
- Waltz - A dance written in triple time, where the accent falls on the first beat of each measure.
- Whole-tone scale - A scale consisting of only whole-tone notes. Such a scale consists of only 6 notes.
