"Free Voice Lessons" Program Registration Now Open

This could be the perfect opportunity if you are interested in improving your singing skills in a positive, supportive, fun and creative environment. Click on the photo shown above to register online.
The dates of these lessons will be:
March 3, March 10, March 17, March 24
TIME COMMITMENT: The lessons begin at 7:00 P.M. and end about 8:30 P.M. with optional opportunities for more singing until 10:00 P.M.
LOCATION: Whitworth Memorial Baptist Church, 3014 Elm Hill Pike, Nashville, TN 37214
The content is rich and exciting-a combination of technical and artistic vocal training:
- Breathing-posture, breath support and control for singing freely produced tones
- Resonance-tone placement, emotional color and blend
- Vowels-target sounds, diction and diphthongs
- Rhythm-creating precise synchronization
- Dynamics-use of soft/loud ranges to create meaning and artistic joy
- Artistry - something magical that can happen when notes and words become second nature
If your schedule will not allow participation in all four lessons, you are still welcome to the lessons you CAN make. The instruction is provided free of charge. Best of all, any singer able to attend three of the four free lessons and demonstrating a grasp of the notes and words will be invited to join Nashville Singers for a public performance on Thursday evening April 14 to sing the songs we've learned together.
