Have you noticed how quickly life is zooming by?
It seems like the months are going by like weeks and the weeks like days.
Time is short and we cannot afford to waste time; we must redeem the time because the days are evil.
May 1st is known as "May Day", because it commemorates a date in history in which unions went on strike in support of an eight-hour work day.
It began on May 1, 1886 and became known as "International Workers Day", which commemorates the historic struggle of working people throughout the world.
But then there is another "Mayday" which is an emergency code used internationally as a distress signal. It was derived from a French word which means, "Help Me".
All around the world we are hearing the cry of distress! "Mayday, mayday, emergency, somebody please help me!"
It is the constant cry heard around the world.
The Word of God offers us an answer to those cries:
Psalm 121:1-2
1I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
2My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.
