Stay tuned, the launch date and URL are headed your way soon!

Clarification: New Construction Install Type is NOT Applicable to Customized Solutions

When applying for Customized Solutions incentives, there are only three installation types (install types) to categorize your project: Retrofit Early Retirement (RET), Replace on Burnout (ROB), and Retrofit Add On (REA).

New Construction (NEW) install type is not applicable to Customized Solutions projects.

Click here for an updated matrix summarizing the calculation, new requirements, preferred methodology for application submittal, and value added for the three possible install types.

This is a clarification to the New Dual Baseline Requirements for Customized Solutions article, released in the June 27 Special Edition.

Recognition Campaign Update

We are excited to report the 2012 Recognition Campaign data points to outstanding preliminary results through July 31, 2012. When analyzing preliminary 2012 project-level data against fairly comparable 2011 data, it indicates Authorized Participant contribution in kWh savings are trending an average of 33% higher in 2012.

Even more impressive, the data indicates increased installation of controls--Authorized Participants are installing more comprehensive projects. This is truly exciting news!

Now, specific to the campaign results through July 31, 2012, here are a few of "the numbers to beat" (i.e., the highest results within the different categories):

  • kWh savings - 8,673,000 kWh
  • kW savings - 2,400 kW
  • Number of projects integrating controls completed -190 projects

This could be you! Make sure you stay on top by submitting your online applications now so that your projects are installed and SCE-approved before the end of 2012. And, don't forget to reach out to the Technical Support team at APSupport-Projects@sce.com.

Helpful Tip: For those applying for SCE's Distinguished Comprehensive Project Award, make sure to complete every field. Especially the last question, "Tell us about this project, including it's challenges and opportunities and SCE resources used?" Worth up to 10 points, this could make a big difference!
