New Tax Form Requirements

To assure compliance with SCE Federal and State Tax reporting requirements, all Authorized Participants (that's YOU), must complete, sign, and submit a W-9 and a CA-590 tax form. This is a one-time submittal requirement.

Please submit these before April 2 to avoid delays in the processing of incentives applications for which you are the Payee.

If you are assisting an SCE customer with an incentives application for which he/she is the Payee, please advise of the new requirements as they apply to all Payees.

The completed and signed forms can be mailed, faxed, or e-mailed to:

Mail: Southern California Edison, Business Incentives,

P.O. Box 800, Rosemead, CA 91770-0800

Fax: 626-633-3243

E-mail: [email protected]

Note: since this is a new state requirement, it is likely you don't have one in your files.

Starting April 2, incentives applications for which you are the Payee and for which these requirements are missing, will be treated as incomplete and placed on hold, starting the 10-day process to obtain the missing requirements.

A few things to note:

1) Submittal of a W-9 has been a requirement for these applications.

2) The CA-590 tax form is a new requirement under California Franchise Tax Board guidelines.

3) SCE's transition to the new Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system last year makes the one-time submission of these forms possible. Upon receipt of the completed and signed forms, the processing organization will store them in the CRM system.
