We recently delivered the last scheduled Online Application Tool training for the 3rd quarter. Over three separate sessions, we trained nearly 50 vendors! We are already seeing an increase in online application submittals.

If you missed the training or want a refresher, click here to download a training presentation and click here to download a previously recorded webinar.

We'll have more training sessions in the 4th quarter. If you need training sooner, email us here. We'll work with you to make it happen!

Campaign Info

If you didn't make it to the September 9 Contractor Info Session, you may not know this yet.

The Recognition Campaign's Gold, Silver, Bronze Level awardees will receive 10 suite tickets each to the Los Angeles Kings vs. Anaheim Ducks hockey game held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA, on Saturday, March 3, 2012.

As if an exciting game between two hometown rivals wasn't enough, awardees will have an opportunity to meet one-on-one with the SCE team behind the Express and Customized Solutions offerings, the application processing, and others.

Winners will be announced through a recognition campaign edition in February 2012.

It was over a month ago when our first recognition campaign edition was released. As with then, due to unanticipated impacts of the transition to a new application processing systems, campaign data continues to be inaccessible. We apologize! Once the data is accessible, we will begin sharing campaign status updates. We thank you for your patience and understanding.

While we cannot share the campaign's current status update, we can share details on the campaign's reward event, a few common incentives application errors and how to avoid them, and materials from the recent Online Application Training sessions.

Common Incentives Application Errors

Because only kWh and kW from projects submitted, installed, and SCE-approved from July 1 through December 31, 2011, are counted towards campaign results, there's no time to have your project applications be delayed or, even worse, declined because of perfectly avoidable errors.

Increase your chances to be recognized as top contributor! Learn about common application errors and the helpful tips to avoid them.

Common Error #1 - Submitting an application for a non-SCE customer.

Only SCE customers are eligible for SCE incentives.

Tip - Ask your customer if they receive an SCE bill.

Common Error #2 - Submitting an application with customer's business name, address, and service account information that does not match their SCE bill.

The information, as it appears in the customer's SCE bill, is required for the processing of the application.

Tip - Ask your customer to provide a recent copy of their SCE bill or to provide this information as it appears on the bill.

Common Error #3 - Providing a site contact name on the incentives application that is unable to answer questions about the project.

When an application is missing required project information, SCE may contact the site contact provided. If the site contact is unable to provide the required information, the application may be declined.

Tip - Talk to your customer about who will be the best site contact to list on the incentives application. Some customers assign their authorized agent as their site contact.

Common Error#4 - Missing, incomplete, or inaccurate Product Location Form.

If there isn't enough information for SCE-inspectors to find the retrofit/installed product (measure, solution) and its location, the application may be declined. This is especially important when only part of a room has been upgraded.

Tip - Fully and accurately complete the required Product Location Form. A single form may include multiple site addresses. Click here to access a printable version of the Product Location Form
