Express Solutions Updates
Pre-installation Inspection: No Longer Required for LT-92448
Effective January 1, 2011, the following Solution Code no longer requires a pre-installation inspection:
- LT-92448: Interior linear fluorescent fixtures > 400-watt lamp existing, up to 600-watt Replacement Fixture @ $200/fixture.
Post-installation Inspection: Incentive Threshold Change
Effective January 1, 2011, projects qualifying for $15,000+ in incentives now require a post-installation inspection of the new equipment. Projects with incentives under $15,000 will be subject to random post-installation inspections. This incentive threshold was previously set at $7,000.
Clarification: Consortium for Energy Efficiency (CEE) High-Performance (HP) Lamps and Electronic Ballasts
In 2010, SCE allowed for the mismatch of HP 25W 4-foot T8 lamps with 28W electronic ballasts, both listed on their respective CEE-qualified equipment lists.
Starting January 1, 2011, SCE is strictly enforcing that all project applications including HP 4-foot T8 lamps and electronic ballasts solutions meet the eligibility requirement outlined below:
- Lamp and electronic ballast wattage must match, as listed in their respective CEE-qualified equipment lists.
For example, if the HP 4-foot T8 lamp is 25W, the electronic ballast must be 25W (not 28W). Applications that do not meet this and other applicable Express Solutions requirements will be declined.
