These bulletin announcements are for your information about resources, items of interest, prayer and praise requests and information. Use your discretion and print only what will be valuable to your congregation. This information will be sent to you only once. Use your judgment as to how often you run the same information in your bulletin. At least twice prior to an event is recommended. Perhaps you could use a calendar of future events in your bulletin and list it in a shortened form after the initial announcement has been made.

Omar is an asylee from Palestine. When he arrived to the U.S. in May of 2011, he immediately applied for asylum (see the article below for more information on an asylee). In November 2011 he was granted asylum and was offered a place in CWS/Lancaster's Match Grant program. Unfortunately, when Omar had to suddenly leave Palestine, he was unable to bring his family with him. Finally, after waiting over 6 months, we expect them to be approved and to arrive to Lancaster this month! We Need Your Help! Because the Match Grant program has already used almost all of it's allocated donations, we need the help of local churches to be able to help Omar's wife and 5 children. We need $5,000 to be able to provide this family of 6 with the help and support they will need after they arrive to Lancaster. If your church has a special committee or a special fund that might be able to provide financial support to meet the needs of Omar's family, please contact Jackie immediately at 717-358-9341 or jsahd@churchworldservice.org.
