These bulletin announcements are for your information about resources, items of interest, prayer and praise requests and information. Use your discretion and print only what will be valuable to your congregation. This information will be sent to you only once. Use your judgment as to how often you run the same information in your bulletin. At least twice prior to an event is recommended. Perhaps you could use a calendar of future events in your bulletin and list it in a shortened form after the initial announcement has been made.

Fall Assembly Celebration 

 

October 22nd is drawing near. Come and be a part of the life of the church, come and be blessed, come and be heard. Register at: accfallassembly2011.eventbrite.com Pastors and delegates are expected to attend, and everyone is welcome. 

Harvest (not Halloween) at Hans Herr House 

 

October 29 harvest party at the 1719 Hans Herr House invites youth groups, couples and singles to forget Halloween scares with square dancing, food, bonfire and seasonal games. $5 per person. 7:00-10:00 PM. Local caller Gary Proctor will teach and call square and line dances from 7:30-9:30 PM. Seasonal activities like pumpkin carving and bobbing for apples will be available the whole night. $4 per person for groups of ten or more who reserve in advance. "An Evening with Gil Smart" at 7:00 PM on Thursday, October 20 at the Lancaster Church of the Brethren, 1601 Sunset Avenue, 17601. Smart will speak on Respondents will be Kim Smith, a director of the Lancaster Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Tony Robalik, the founder of Transition Lancaster; and Tim Roschel, Lancaster City Councilman and member of the Lancaster County Labor Council. This forum is sponsored by the Lancaster Interchurch Peace Witness.
 MCC Benefit Festival 

 

Saturday October 29, 2011, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at West Philadelphia Mennonite Fellowship (4740 Baltimore Ave. Philadelphia, Pa. 19143). Haitian, Indonesian, Ethiopian and soul food will be on offer to benefit the work of MCC in Philly and around the world.
