These bulletin announcements are for your information about resources, items of interest, prayer and praise requests and information. Use your discretion and print only what will be valuable to your congregation. This information will be sent to you only once. Use your judgment as to how often you run the same information in your bulletin. At least twice prior to an event is recommended. Perhaps you could use a calendar of future events in your bulletin and list it in a shortened form after the initial announcement has been made.

ACC 2011 Vision Dinner - Shaped to Share

 

September 13 - Shady Maple Banquet - 6:15 p.m Join us for an evening of inspiration, worship, and fantastic food at Shady Maple Banquets. Speakers Jason and Vonetta Storbakken are the founders of Radical Living, an Anabaptist Christian community in Brooklyn NY. Radical Living is one of ACC's most recently affiliating members. The theme will be "Shaped to Share" from Jeremiah 18. Proceeds raised at the vision dinner will help support ACC's church planting vision. Meet the Churches   

August 22, 7 p.m. Garden Spot Village chapel, 433 S. Kinzer Ave. New Holland. Dr. Doug Bozung will speak about Christian Fellowship Church. Part of the "Meet the Churches" series, which continues on Monday evenings through Aug. 29. Bozung is teaching pastor at Christian Fellowship Church of Lancaster County, which was established in the New Holland area in 1971. The program is free and open to the public. Parkinson's Support Group to Discuss Occupational Therapy Tips

 

Monday, August 15, at 2:00 p.m. in the Westview Community Room at Landis Homes. The August meeting of the Lancaster County Parkinson's Support Group will focus on the topic "Helpful Tips for Living with Parkinson's from a Therapy Perspective," with Michelle Draeger. Draeger is an occupational therapist with RehabCare. The Lancaster County Parkinson's Support Group meets at Landis Homes the third Monday of each month from March through November. A group also meets for breakfast at Oregon Dairy the first Wednesday of each month at 9:30 a.m. For more information or to receive a brochure persons may make requests to P.O. Meet authors of new cookbook 

 

If you're curious about the British Columbia authors of Herald Press's best-selling "Mennonite Girls Can Cook," come to a book signing in Lancaster. Lovella Schellenberg and Anneliese Friesen will be at Berean Christian Bookstore next to Park City Mall on Monday, Aug. 7, from 7-8 p.m. The full-color book, based on a blog that has attracted nearly 3 million visitors, features Russian-German Mennonite cooking as well as devotional thoughts. Herald Press is the book imprint of MennoMedia, a newly merged agency.

Pathways Institute Opens Registration for Fall 

 

The fall 2011 term of the Pathways Institute for Lifelong Learning® in Lancaster has posted it's new fall schedule as well as the on-line registration on the Landis Homes website at www.landishomes.org The Pathways Institute courses, which run from September 6 through November 20, 2011, are open to all Lancaster County residents who are 55 years or above.
