These bulletin announcements are for your information about resources, items of interest, prayer and praise requests and information. Use your discretion and print only what will be valuable to your congregation.  Use your judgment as to how often you run the same information in your bulletin. At least twice prior to an event is recommended. Perhaps you could use a calendar of future events in your bulletin and list it in a shortened form after the initial announcement has been made.

 

Delegate Orientation for Pittsburgh!

 

All congregational and conference delegates to Pittsburgh 2011 are invited to a Pre-Assembly Orientation being provided by Atlantic Coast and Lancaster Conferences at the Lancaster Conference Center, 2160 Lincoln Highway East, Lancaster, Thursday evening, June 2, 7:00 p.m. If you plan to attend, please call or eMail Keith Wilson by May 31, 717-394-8107, keithw@atlanticcoastconference.net. 

MEA Prayers for Faith and Learning

 

Attached are the prayer requests from the member schools of Mennonite Schools Council, and the colleges, universities, seminaries and educational programs of Mennonite Church USA for June.  We encourage you to share Prayers for Faith and Learning with others. The document is set up so it can be a bulletin insert or distributed in church mail boxes. Some churches choose specific prayer requests to include in their weekly bulletins. Congregations or individuals who are interested in a free subscription to Prayers for Faith and Learning (or other MEA publications) may subscribe online at www.MennoniteEducation.org/Subscribe. Thank you for the many ways you support Mennonite education!

Kairos Summer Programs

 

 

The following three Kairos School of Spiritual Formation programs have a registration deadline of June 10. Visit on-the-journey.org for more information.

 

Understanding the Enneagram - Sat. June 25, 8:30am to 5pm. Spiritual guides have used the Enneagram for over 2,000 years. It offers a journey through self-discovery to freedom.  Focus will be on its history, model, wings, arrows, lived experiences and natural prayer forms


Summer 5-Day Silent Retreat -  Sun. June 26 - Fri. July 1.  You may register for 5 days or any part of this silent directed retreat.  Each day holds an optional short worship service and opportunity to meet with a spiritual director from the Kairos team.

Visualizing Your Spiritual Journey - Register for 5 days or any part of this retreat to be held June 26 - July 1. The retreat is designed for you to use the media (painting, drawing, writing, collage, dance) of your choice in creative exercises that will lead to new awareness of the power of prayer and God's love. No art or writing experience necessary.
