Use your discretion and print only what will be valuable to your congregation. This information will be sent to you only once. Use your judgment as to how often you run the same information in your bulletin. At least twice prior to an event is recommended. Perhaps you could use a calendar of future events in your bulletin and list it in a shortened form after the initial announcement has been made.

ACC Spring Assembly Celebration

Mark your Calendars for ACC's Spring Assembly Celebration. Due to various calendar conflicts, assembly will be held on April 30th this year. A location and theme will be announced soon. 

"Another Way of Doing Life" 

This series continues at Lancaster Church of the Brethren
Titus and Linda Peachey, local authors and activists, will be speaking at 3 p.m. on Sunday, January 30 at the Lancaster Church of the Brethren, 1601 Sunset Avenue in Lancaster, Pa. about how they witness for peace when filing their federal income taxes. They will discuss heeding the call of conscience when reporting income to the government. Sponsored by 1040 for Peace, this public event is part of the "Another Way of Doing Life" series launched by Shane Claiborne January 4th. Click here to download an event flyer. Contact H.A. Art Exhibit Features Retired Attorney

An art reception featuring an Ephrata artist will be held at Landis Homes on February 1.  Retired Lancaster attorney Carl A. Wiker will show a variety of his most recent works in oils. In this exhibition, he will show a variety of his works in oils including still life, rural scenes and local landmarks.The opening reception, to which the public is welcome, will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 1, in the Harvest View lobby and galleries. Landis Homes is located at 1001 East Oregon Road, Lititz.  A snow date has also been set for 02-15-10. The works will continue to be on display through April. Pathways Institute for Lifelong Learning® Kicks Off Spring 2011 Term!

The spring 2011 term of the Pathways Institute for Lifelong Learning® at Landis Homes will begin with a special Kickoff Reception scheduled for Friday, February 4, 2011 from 1:15 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. The event will be held in the Azalea Dining Room and West Bethany Chapel at Landis Homes, 1001 East Oregon Road, Lititz, PA. Dr. Kenneth Brubaker, geriatrician, Chief Medical Director for the Pennsylvania Department of Long Term Living and consultant to the PA Department of Aging will speak about maintaining Brain Fitness. MayDelicious desserts will also be served. Akron MC Mission Festival  "Equipping the Church for Mission and Vision"

February 5-6. Guest speaker: Dr. John Stahl-Wert president and CEO of Pittsburgh Leadership Foundation. John is an ordained Mennonite pastor, serving the Allegheny Mennonite Conference as an Overseer. The Mission Festival will begin with our traditional ethnic meal at 5:00PM on Saturday evening. You are invited to bring your favorite ethnic food with a sufficient quantity to feed 2-3 dozen people. This is a festival, so we encourage you to decorate your table with appropriate décor to reflect the country your food is typically served in. Donations are suggested to equal to what you would pay in a restaurant for this meal and the offering received will go to the school project in Haiti. Church office - 717-859-1488 


  World Class Opera Benefits Children,                 Communities Around the World

For the third consecutive year, Lancaster County native and renowned operatic soprano, Madeline Bender, is teaming up with the Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) for an evening of operatic excellence benefiting MCC's Global Family Program. This year this unique event will be held at Lancaster's Fulton Theatre on January 22, 2011, beginning at 8pm.Tickets are available at Fulton Theatre box office and online.
