Singers Wanted:

Alzheimer's Association of Northeastern New York and volunteer Doug Long of Saratoga Springs are forming a new chorus for men and women with early- to middle-stage dementias and their care partners. Patterned after The Unforgettables, a chorus formed by NYU Professor Dr. Mary Mittleman, The Joytones will provide participants with camaraderie and the therapeutic benefits of making sweet music together.

The Joytones welcome singers of any level of ability with early- to mid-stage Alzheimer's or a related dementia along with a friend, caregiver or family member who will sing and support their participation. There are no auditions.

The Joytones will hold their first rehearsal on April 17 at 10:30 a.m. at the Shenendahowa United Methodist Church at 971 Route 146 in Clifton Park.  For more information or to indicate your desire

to join The Joytones, email Bill Hinrichs, or call him at 518.867.4999 x203.
