2011 Parade of Ponds
|
True Pump is proud to once again be a part of the Colorado Parade of Ponds. This year's Parade of Ponds will take place Saturday, August 27, 9:00AM - 5:00PM, and Sunday, August 28, 11:00AM - 5:00PM. There will be over 30 ponds to enjoy, mostly in the south Denver metro area. You can choose between the self-guided tour for $15.00 or a bus tour sponsored by True Pump on Saturday to make your pond viewing even more relaxing, enjoyable and informative. The bus tour will depart from True Pump, 1429 S. Broadway, at 9:00AM on Saturday, August 28 and will return at approximately 4:30PM. Cost for the bus tour is $40.00 (Early Bird Bus Tour Price is $35.00 if purchased by July 31) for adults and $15.00 for children. This price includes your Parade of Ponds ticket, the bus tour, soft drinks and a box lunch. The bus is equipped with a restroom. Seating will be limited to the first 42 people who sign up.

Water Gardening 101

"How often and how much should I feed my fish?"
Proper feeding of your fish is important to the health of the fish as well as the balance of the pond. Pond fish can survive on food sources naturally available in a pond, but by feeding them a high quality food you can increase growth rate, enhance color and boost their immune system. Plus the added benefit of feeding is that your fish can be trained to come up and greet you anytime you approach your pond! Fish food is high in nutrients so for good water quality you should only feed them the amount of food they can consume in approximately 5 minutes. Also, because fish are cold blooded they cannot digest food properly in colder water temperatures so you should not feed your fish when the water temperature drops below 50 degrees.
