Greetings!

The date has finally arrived!  The ribbon cutting ceremony signifying the completion of the South Broadway construction will take place on Thursday, August 19.  The final touches are being put in place and the finished project offers great appeal for both traffic flow as well as the beautification of one of Denver's oldest streets.  Thank you again for your patience during contruction.

There is plenty of news to report in this month's edition of our newsletter including a summary of this year's Pondemonium, an inspirational video and some educational opportunities for this fall and spring.  If you have suggestions for newletter topics or additional educational seminars you'd like to attend please email us at:

Pondemonium Recap
This year's Pondemonium continued the theme of "Back to Basics."  By focusing on smaller projects that appeal to a wider customer base contractors can continue to be successful even in a sluggish economy.  We also discussed having a process for bidding and constructing "Updates, Facelifts or Surgery" for many of the poorly constructed water features currently being installed by those low bidders in the market.

The Certifiied Aquascape Contractors cheered the return of the CAC discount as well as the Top 40 recognition that had been discontinued.  Now, more than ever, there's huge benefits to being certifiied!

No Pondemonium would be complete without plenty of other educational classes, new product introductions (see below), amazing networking and lots of fun activities.  From Ed's Beer Garden to the Texas Hold 'Em Tournament to the Blowout Bash a great time was had by all attenedees.  We hope to have you join us at Pondemonium 2011!

New Products Announced

Aquascape has recognized that product value is a key to moving forward in these times of increased competition.  Below are three of the main highlights of the New Product seminar.

A new Pondless pump vault has been developed that has much more capacity than the Micro Snorkel & Micro Centipede and is much less expensive than the full sized Snorkel & Centipede.  This vault includes a 14" x 14" opening, 10,000 gph pump capacity and a viewing port for checking water level.  It has been designed to work in conjunction with the AquaBlox water matrix.

Also debuting at Pondemonium was a new waterfall weir.  This weir can replace the Biofalls in a Pondless waterfall where biological filtration is unneccesary.  Flow capacity is 5,000 gph and provides a 22" wide waterfall.  This smaller unit will cut down both the cost as well as the time required for installation.

Another key value item is a new LED light kit that includes 3 LED lights, transformer and photo cell all for an MSRP of only $109.98!

Keep an eye on future newsletters for updated pictures and release dates for these exciting new products.

The "True" Ghostbusters
Pondemonium always includes plenty of fun and can even give people a chance to laugh at themselves.  The Aquascape staff put together movie posters of many of the attendees and we were somehow cast as the Ghostbusters.

Seminars
Fall 2010

Get Your Feet Wet
We have had a number of requests for a repeat performance of the "Get Your Feet Wet" classroom seminar stressing the Back to Basics of entry level, affordable water features.  Please contact us at support@truepump.com if you'd be interested in attending.

Maintenance & Remodel Seminar
This seminar is still being developed but plans are in motion to create a seminar that many of you have requested.  This seminar would cover the ins & outs of pond maintenance as well as a process for bidding and constructing "Updates, Facelifts or Surgery" for many of the poorly constructed water features that you often run into.  More details to come in future newsletters.

Spring 2010

NEW PRODUCT Build A Pondless Day
  Denver, CO  Spring 2010
For next Spring's BAP we will be using the NEW Pondless pump vault and waterfall weir (see New Products Announced above).  Pondless BAPs are designed for installers who are new or experienced in pond building.  You will learn how to get in on the latest craze in water gardening.  Pondless waterfalls are a great alternative for prospective customers concerned about cost, space, or safety.  This project will include the installation of the Aquascape Pondless Waterfall System and construction of a waterfall and stream.  Seminar cost is $99.00 per person or $89.00 per person for 3 or more employees from the same company.
