National Honor Society News for eligible 11th grade students

The National Honor Society recognizes students who stand out in the areas of Scholarship, Leadership, Character, and Service.  Juniors with an official cumulative GPA of 87.00 or higher at the midyear of the 11th grade become eligible to apply for membership in the National Honor Society.
A Junior who meets the academic requirement listed above, should watch and listen for details on how to apply for membership.  Every effort is made to notify eligible students by mail, and notice of the informational meeting, application procedures, and deadlines will be announced and posted in the Did You Know.   Applications will be available during the week after February vacation break.

In addition to the academic requirement of an official cumulative GPA of 87.00 or higher, applicants must be able to document that they satisfy the NHS standards of Character, Service, and Leadership through the application process.

The applications and supporting documentation submitted by students who wish to apply are carefully reviewed and acted upon by the NHS Faculty Council. Applicants who meet the above criteria will be selected and notified accordingly.
