J&J Consumer Products, Indonesia, Boasts Success Stories 

Marilyn Petrokubi has been burning the midnight oil interviewing J&J Consumer Products brand managers in Indonesia on the phone, learning their secrets for gaining market share in 2009.  
 
"With the 12-hour time difference, I find I'm often talking to people 9 o'clock at night when they are just starting their day," says Marilyn. "That and the language variations make it a little challenging, but the experience has been terrific."
 
The series of  "success stories"  will be featured in  J&J Consumer Product's Touchpoint intranet site for which she is a regular contributor.

Will music will make the difference in helping students select which college to attend? The answer is yes, if music supervisor Rob Lieberman has anything to do  with it. In this Ipod world, audiences  are really tuned in to music, especially the youth market. Music should  be part of branding any product or company.  Colleges are no exception. 

 "Producers go out of their way to choose the best shots, the best fonts, the best graphics, and music deserves equal attention," says Rob. "It makes an emotional connection like nothing else can."

This year has started with flurry of activity as clients are reaching out to explore new projects !  Yes!  Is this simply a function of their budgets being recharged for 2010? Or is the media inventory empty after so much cutting and freezing last year?  Could be both. 
 
However, some basic trends are the same. Budgets are lower, and the question of the year seems to be:  "What can we do for less?" 
Clients are getting more mileage from their investments through multi-platform distribution. 
 
 Repurposing finished content is a very cost-effective solution. From a creative standpoint, multiple versions,  cut downs and using stock footage and previously shot material are popular options these days.
