Diane Walsh's Woven Bamboo Floors

Quite simply, Diane Walsh says that she "Loves them!" and you can see from these pictures why that is.  We can't seem to stress enough how durable and easy click-lock solid woven bamboo floors are.  Made by our local Gainesville friends Boya, these floors are only available at INDIGOGreen and are a unique solution to floating floors over an existing floor like tile or old vinyl or linoleum.  They also tackle the difficult problem of slab-on-grade moisture in Florida that may make it impossible to glue solid wood down even after you've sealed the slab.

Stop by INDIGOGreen to see for yourself and we would also be happy to give you our own client references so you can see a finished floor you can actually walk on!

Scale Blaster Removes Calcium Buildup Without Solvents

ScaleBlaster is a compact, state-of-the art, computerized system that is installed on the incoming waterline of the house or building.

This innovative product produces an oscillating electronic field using a unique and complex modulating frequency wave form that changes the physical shape, size and charge of the calcium molecules and causes them to lose their adhesive properties.

Lime scale will no longer form in the pipes or on equipment that comes in contact with hard water. This results in the lowering of the saturation level of hard water, so that new lime scale is prevented and any existing scale is removed. The surface tension of the water is lessened, which will increase the solubility of the water, making it a better solvent.

Water will feel softer and 'wetter', and less detergents will be required.

Now available at INDIGOGreen click here to learn more or call us at 352.378.2285

Donate Your Hair to Gulf Oil Spill Cleanup Efforts

Your hair may have a bigger impact on cleanup efforts than you think- if you cut it off.  Local salon Mode, on University Ave next to Sweetwater Branch Inn, is making a concerted effort to help with cleanup efforts by donating cut hair to an organization that yes, actually weaves it into oil-absorbing hair mats and booms.  Looking like giant sea-worm creatures, the hair is actually stuffed into donated nylons and left in the water and onshore to do what hair does best, absorb oils- not just from your scalp and the air-crude oil works just fine too.

However, there is no word on when these efforts for donated hair will be utilized by BP according to reports by dallasnews.com.  For more information on the company that is weaving this hair into help visit www.matteroftrust.org.
