LOCAL CUSTOMER SPOTLIGHT.

Betsy Fischer's Floors: Quercus Suber!
"WE DECIDED ON CORK FLOORING FOR IT'S BEAUTY, WARMTH AND COMFORT. It was also an easy choice due to its environmentally friendly attributes. One of my husband's favorite parts was its ease of installation! It really expresses our style and it was so nice to have so many choices" -Betsy
What do you think when you hear the phrase "cork floors"? A bulletin board underfoot? A row of discarded wine stoppers? Nice but not for me? The scientific name of the cork oak tree is Quercus Suber- quercus meaning oak and suberin which is the natural insect and rot-resistant substance within it. But consider this: cork floors are floating floors which means they use no glue to install, they are 90% air so they are like walking on a cloud, they are made up of rapidly renewable cork oak bark, and they come in over 50 combined colors and styles.
Exhibit A: Ms Fischer's floor which has an exciting pattern of natural colors, give great comfort underfoot, are naturally sound absorbent on her 2nd floor bedroom, and supply a great combination of design and warmth to the coziest place in her house. Consider prefinished, lifetime warranted cork floors from INDIGO GREEN since it's been used for thousands of years as a durable and proven building material for your bedroom, study, living room and even your kitchen. AFM Safecoat: High Quality Paints, Stains, Adhesives and Finishes Without Chemicals Of Concern
A solar The President's Cancer Panel has just released a 200-page landmark report on the cancer-related consequences to our historically lackadaisical approach to chemical regulation in the U.S. The document calls for something that the American Formulating and Manufacturing company (makers of Safecoat paints, adhesives and sealants) has been concerned with for decades: to rethink how chemicals affect our human health in everyday circumstances. In the past we have relied on keeping cancer in check through routine doctors visits but the Cancer Panel's report suggests that we avoid chemicals through deliberate exposure especially during pregnancy when damage seems to be the greatest.
INDIGOGreen has long been a supporter and retailer of AFM Safecoat because of their dedication to creating healthier finishing products that deliver high quality in places that matter: our home and our workplace. AFM has many products that have achieved SCS certification for their removal of toxins including formaldehydes, phthalates, phthalate esters, as well as a host of VOC and SemiVOC causing chemicals. Come see and smell for yourself at INDIGOGreen and make your next simple remodel sustainable for your health as well as for the environment. |
