Greetings!  

Welcome to Fall! It's been a busy month with doggy activities but we're saving the best for last! On Saturday, September 29th the Grand Opening of the new off-leash area at Phyllis Rawlinson Park starts at 11am!  We are super excited to finally be able to let the dogs into this terrific new park.  We hope you'll drop by and join in the festivities! Be sure to drop by the K9 Klub tent to say hi and find out about volunteer opportunities at both parks.
 

Are you coming to the Grand Opening of the dog park on Saturday? The first 4 people to TWEET us @RHK9KLUB with why you love taking your dog to the #dogpark" will be invited (with their dog) to join the Mayor on stage for the Doggy Cake Cutting Ceremony!

 
After the excitement of the new park opening, it would be nice to have some R&R but there is no rest for the wicked!  On October 14th Councillor Perrelli is hosting the Canine Valentine Event which will be followed at the end of the month by our 4th Annual Howl-O-Ween Celebration. Details will be posted on our website soon. We also have a fundraiser in the works and, of course, the Richmond Hill Santa Claus Parade on November 25, 2012. Let us know if you'd like to help usher Santa into town... it can't rain 3 years in a row, can it?   :)

On Saturday, September 15 the K9 Klub Board joined fabulous folks from the TD Tree Days Program to plant 500 trees in the area around the Off-leash dog park. Once again our local OSPCA is in the news.  MPP Frank Klees brought to light that 3 employees of the shelter had been fired after protesting the number of animals being euthanized at the Newmarket shelter.
