Greetings!
Not a lengthy newsletter this month as we've just been kicking back and enjoying remainder of the summer with our pooches and family. But we do have one piece of news...just a few more weeks and the new leash-free area in Phyllis Rawlinson Park will be ready for everyone!
We are excited to announce the official opening opening celebration and ribbon cutting will be on Saturday, September 29th from 11am; be sure to mark your calendars! The Town of Richmond Hill, with assistance from the K9 Klub, will be hosting a fun-filled event including games, demos & a BBQ. We'll be sure to send you details as soon as we have them. Please note we'll need some volunteers to help out at this event. If you can donate some time, please email volunteer@rhk9klub.ca and we'll add you to our list. September seems to be going to the dogs as there are a couple more fairly local doggy events coming up this month. First up on September 8th & 9th is Newbarket at the Lions Outdoor Park in Newmarket, featuring Ultimate Air Dogs dock jumping competition, High Flying Disc Dog trial, vendors and the 4th annual Pooch Plunge! On Sunday, September 23rd 10am - 4pm, Thistledown Pet Memorial in Uxbridge with hosting "Paws to Love Pet Fun Day". Proceeds from this event in support of the new Uxbridge-Scugog Animal Shelter. If you happen to be at the Tower Hill dog park on Saturday, September 15th from 9am you will notice a very large contingent of volunteers sporting TD Bank Tree Day T-shirts and planting up to 500 trees in the valley around the park.
Global Pet Foods across from Tower Hill Dog park has joined the K9 Klub once again as an official commercial sponsor. Thank you very much for your support Rick! __________________________________________________________________________ |
