"Habitat for Humanity
Kelowna has been dealing with affordable housing for 15 years," explains
Don
Turri, a Partner at MacKay LLP's Kelowna office. "We were impressed with
their management approach and their very cost-effective way of creating
affordable housing for those working families who otherwise would be
unable to
enter the housing market. We are pleased to be able to assist Habitat
for
Humanity Kelowna with their initiatives." |

ANNOUNCING OUR NEXT BUILD PROJECT
|
|
Illustration provided by Jason Besse |
Habitat for
Humanity Kelowna is happy to announce that its next building project will be
on the Westside where we have acquired property
to build two duplexes.
The date for the official ground-breaking ceremony will be announced later this spring.
"In the
past, we
built two homes in the Glenrosa area," chair Brigitte Reimer explains. "We are looking
forward to returning to the Westside where we have received tremendous support from the local residents and businesses."
Two
information evenings will be held for prospective Partner Families in mid-April, one on the Westside, the other in Kelowna.
As with all Habitat for Humanity projects, volunteers and donations will be an integral
part of providing homes for deserving families.
Habitat for Humanity Kelowna has built 17 homes to date in the Kelowna area.
