The meeting will be Saturday night, February 26th with the annual awards dinner and presentation of awards, and the annual fund raising auction following. Horse Evaluations will be scheduled for Saturday afternoon and all day Sunday. Seminars and other activities will be held each day. Watch the GVHS website for schedule and more information.

British Sterling Wins USDF All Breeds Award
 The GVHS participates in the USDF All Breeds Program. This allows members and their registered Vanners to participate in recognized dressage events working toward awards in this program. The Stallion British Sterling has won the All Breeds Award for the Gypsy Vanner 3rd level open for 2010 and has recently received his medal and certificate. British Sterling also has won his class at the 4th level. Spencer does it again !
In 2009 the Gypsy Vanner gelding, Spencer, owned by Julie Anthony of Morriston, Florida, was the first Gypsy Vanner to participate in a long distance event. In 2010 he competed once again in the Goethe Challenge Endurance Ride and beat his 2009 finish by coming in 19th in the 25 mile limited distance event. Upon finishing the ride he received all A's from the vets for overall health and soundness. Spencer and Julie hope to complete in more distance events this coming year. Spencer also finished out his year as the Florida Arena Driving Champion in the preliminary single horse division. You can see Spencer pulling his carriage in the header on the GVHS website.
